DIY Facial Scrub in 1 Minute

I know most of us are tied up with work, family and everything else that life throws at us. But that doesn’t mean that we necessarily have to neglect looking after our skin. Today I’ll share with you a 1-minute, dead simple recipe for a facial and body exfoliant that I personally use to enjoy skin that’s soft, supple and glowing. Let’s get going!

  • 1 teaspoon honey (humectant–draws moisture from the air to skin)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (contains glycolic acid that aids in exfoliating; sugar is also a humectant)

Mix them together in a little bowl. After washing your face, pat it dry and very gently apply the scrub on your face in circular motions. Don’t pull, tug or rub your skin or you could risk having the sugar granules scratching it outright. Leave it on for about 10 minutes (for the honey’s moisture-drawing power to work its wonders), then rinse off thoroughly and pat dry.

Try exfoliating your face, neck and body once a week. It keeps you glowing and for your face, it could also help prevent blackhead and whitehead breakouts by ensuring that your pores aren’t clogged with dead skin.

And there you have it. My almost embarrassingly short post on how you can prepare a scrub that will leave you with soft, smooth skin in just 1 minute.

Got any other natural scrub recipes to share? Post them here! 🙂
