Goats Milk and Patchouli

I made this especially for Andrea, my daughter who developed eczema just after she was born. Thankfully for her (and this anxious mommy!), it worked! No more angry red patches behind her knees and on her neck anymore.

Patchouli essential oil is known to be excellent for soothing inflamed, irritated skin, aiding in the healing of wounds and sores by promoting cell rejuvenation. In aromatherapy, it is grounding, and helps to relieve anxiety and depression.

Characteristics and Usage

Use on: Face, body, hair.

Scent: I can still smell the warm, spicy notes of patchouli on my children’s heads and skin after their showers, and it gradually fades after about 4-5 hours. It’s a homely kind of scent – familiar, soothing, calming.

Lather: Rich and creamy when used directly on hair or bath puff/sponge. Lathers up quite nicely in the palm of your hand too.

Ingredients: Sunflower seed oil, coconut oil, palm oil, castor bean oil, water, sodium hydroxide, patchouli essential oil, fresh goats milk, rosemary oleoresin.

  1. Hi, I’d like to know when stock for this will be available again? My 7 month old daughter has eczema on her neck and behind knees too. Am desperately looking for something that will help sooth her. Please let me know as soon as it is in, ok? Thank you.

    1. Hi Aishah, my next batch will be out in about 3 weeks’ time. Hang tight! I hope the soap can help with your daughter’s eczema. In the meantime if you can let your daughter bathe in the tub with some ground rolled oats for about 10 minutes (or for as long as you both can manage), that might help with the itching temporarily.
