- For a calming bedtime massage for babies and children, dilute 1 drop of lavender essential oil in 2 teaspoons of carrier oil. Warm this mixture in the palms of your hands and gently massage it into their skin on their backs, limbs and/or feet. Toddlers may wriggle away from you, but I find that my older children appreciate their massages much more! Enjoy this precious bonding time together–they won’t stay small for long.
- Too soothe inflamed or acne-prone skin, add 1 drop of lavender essential oil into a bowl of warm water and gently swish a face towel in it. Wring out the water from the towel and press it onto your face until it cools, then repeat 3-4 more times.Â Breathe in the vapours too, because it’s great for calming raw nerves. Finish your mini facial by splashing your skin with cool water. Follow up with a moisturiser if necessary.
