If you missed us at last weekend’s Crafty Art Market, you can get your fix of soap and other all-natural body care goodies at 1 Mont Kiara on Saturday November 12th, when Kinder Soaps participates in the Ibu Christmas Bazaar. Hope to see you there! Details are all in the poster below.
Kinder Soaps’ next appearance will be amidst the crazy, fun and festive atmosphere at the next Urbanscapes, which will be held at Padang Astaka, PJ. We were very fortunate to have been selected through a vetting process by the organisers (it’s pretty stringent, I’ve been told). Thank you to the organisers for letting us be a part of this huge event!
Here’s what you need to know:
What: Urbanscapes 2011 – The City’s All-Day Creative Arts Festival
Date: July 16th, 2011
Time: 12pm till 12am (12 hours of non-stop activity!)
Where: Padang Astaka, PJ (this map should come in handy)
How to get there: Take the LRT and hop off at Taman Jaya Station. Padang Astaka is just a few minutes’ walk away. Parking there is extremely limited, so save yourself the aggravation of wasting your time jostling for a parking space.
Ticket price at the door: RM40. Check out Urbanscapes’ website for more details on how to score tickets at discounted prices.
To be honest, I’m getting a little stressed about preparations ahead of Urbanscapes. How should I decorate my stall? Do I have enough stock to sell? Can I last for the entire day right up till midnight? And can I somehow squeeze out some time to visit other sections of the festival myself??? 0_o
But trust me when I say that this is an experience that I (nor YOU!) would want to miss out on. Hope to see you there! 😀
Just when I thought things were settling down after my mother’s passing, our maid tried to run away a few days ago. After sending her back to the agency, and without a viable replacement in sight for at least 3 months, my husband and I have been neck deep with house chores and managing the kids. The initial 2 days were madness but we’re getting used to all the juggling now. :p
So I think up till early next year it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to run any bazaar stalls for Kinder Soaps. I’ll miss meeting you all in person. But I’ll still be taking orders over the phone and through this website, so don’t worry if you need to restock your soap supplies, or even make that Christmas hamper you’ve been thinking about.
Another reason why I have to slow down a little is because I’m expecting baby number 3. :”> I’m about 9 weeks along now so managing energy levels is a tricky business at the moment. And it’s also interesting (and amusing) how some essential oils that I used to like now make me feel like throwing up.
Ah, Life. 🙂 You take care now, and have a wonderful week ahead.
Just a quick announcement that Kinder Soaps will be setting up shop at the Square Market, Bangsar Village II 3rd Floor this Saturday and Sunday. In addition to my regular goodies, look out for special clearance prices on my gourmet soap!
I have decided not to set up booth at this weekend’s bazaar at Bangsar Village II. We have a family crisis–my mother is critically ill and is being rushed home tonight from Singapore after undergoing surgery there. Her cancer seems to have caused more complications and doctors have indicated that there’s not much else they can do to help.
So I’d like to have this time to spend with her and my family instead.
I’m sorry if this causes anyone any inconvenience. The online store is always open so please feel free to browse here. 🙂 Do take care, everyone, and have a good weekend.
First up, a huge thank-you is in order for Janet Lee who was the key person responsible for making the No Plastic Bag Bazaar such a success. You da woman! 😀 Your awesome organizing skills, pulling all parties together to work towards the goal of raising funds for the Furry Friends Farm and Malaysian Nature Society was clearly visible. And you still had time to sing for us, AND get some shopping done!
For a quick overview of what the bazaar was all about, check out the Star news article here.
Just to be sure I get to the right place too! Notoriously bad at directions, I am. Now I know it’s a bit daunting to be around the Bukit Bintang area on a public holiday… But as an alternative way to spend the day with friends and family, it probably doesn’t get more entertaining on a small-scale, personal level as this. Hope to see you there!
Have you ever heard of the No Plastic Bag Bazaar? If you like the idea of environmentally-friendly shopping, then head over to Noble Banquet along Jalan Bukit Bintang this 31st August for a first-hand experience.
There’ll be plenty of pre-loved fashion items for sale and celebrities have even put up some of their own pieces for auction. Plus you can adopt a pet right there at the event! Now how’s that for a fun family day out? 🙂
I’ll also be selling my soap there, along with my soon-to-be-made whipped cocoa body butters. Will be showcasing my home-made soap batches which are quite different from what I currently offer, as I’m including organic vegetable and nut oils as part of my ingredients.
Sharing the table with me will be Andrew Kit of Ndevo. I *promise* I’ll get a photo of this handsome young chap, whose keen eye for beauty and detail has won his gift shop a loyal following. Latest by Tuesday next week, okay? 😉
Oooh, I can’t wait! Especially since I’ll get to meet with some old friends whom I haven’t had the chance to catch up with ever since my kids came along. It’s gonna be one fun afternoon! Please do drop by and support this event, would love to see you there.
It was yet another fun (albeit tiring towards the end because I was soooo hyper in the beginning) outing for Kinder Soaps at Jaya 33. Not only was I blessed with surpassing my initial sales target, I even completed a labour of love that has taken me about half a year to finally bring to fruition. I know this will sound boastful, but it really IS visually stunning.
