The Mane Event
The Mane Event
Finally, a soap bar which has been formulated specifically for cleaning and nourishing your hair and scalp. Say hello to soft, light and healthy hair!
It is quite common to experience some mildly unpleasant side effects when transitioning from commercial liquid shampoos to all-natural shampoo bars. Some customers felt that their hair was sticky, or waxy after shampooing. The good news is that this passes in about 2-3 weeks - but it can still be an inconvenience.
Read here for tips on how to get through this detoxing period with ease.

How to use
How to use
You may lather your shampoo bar directly on wet hair, and then continue lathering after setting the bar aside.
Try not to lather your soap under running water, as this will dissolve the soap faster than necessary.
Tips for first time users
For some new users of shampoo bars, our hair can feel a bit strange and sticky after shampooing. This usually passes after 2-3 weeks, when the hair strands are properly rid of all prior residue from years of commercial shampoo use. Here's how to make the transition period easier:
1. Double cleanse your hair, i.e. shampoo it twice in the shower.
2. Try using a natural conditioner.
You can very easily make an effective one by diluting 1 part apple cider vinegar in 20 parts water (you can replace the apple cider vinegar with lemon or lime juice, but these may irritate very sensitive skin).
Work this solution through your hair, especially the ends, then rinse out thoroughly - your hair should feel light and even easier to comb through.
Your hair should feel lighter and more manageable right away.
To prolong its useful life, allow the soap to be as dry as possible in between uses by placing it in a well-draining soap dish. Do not enclose wet soap in a soap case.
Store your fresh, unused soap in an airtight container placed in the fridge. When you remove it from the fridge, please be aware that condensation might form on the soap, depending on your room temperature and humidity.
Keep away from direct sunlight, extreme heat and humidity.

I've been using shampoo bars for over 5 years now, but I've never had my hair constantly tangled and greasy no matter what I do to it, and clumps severely by the end of the day. I've tried the methods provided to ease the transition (double shampooing, using conditioner), and I really wanted to give this one a fair try, but after one week of tangled, waxy, and greasy hair, I'm throwing the towel.
One of the main draws of shampoo bars for me was that most formulas would make conditioner almost completely unnecessary. This may just be a case of unsuitable formula. Other shampoo bars I've used has never given me such issues, and the transition period has always been effortless.
This is the 1st time that I use a soap bar for my hair, I love it. Smells wonderful, hair feels soft. No conditioner required. Even my wife loved it too. Will definitely buy again.
to reduce plastic and to help my itchy oily hair, I decide to try a soap bar to solve the problems. The first few times to use this shampoo bar and conditioner, my hair feel dry but is ok to comb. When without conditioner, my hair is hard to comb and feel very dry. However, it just a good experience for me because it definitely reduce my hair-fall and itchy scalp. Anyway, love the scent of the shampoo bar and this bar also good for shower with this pleasant scent.
I have been using the Mane Event for two weeks now and my hair loves this shampoo bar~ One significant improvement which I notice after a few wash is the number of hair falling out in the shower has greatly reduced. I used to have a clump, now only a few strands. Before switching to this, I had to apply conditioner every time after washing (I wash my hair daily as I live an active lifestyle) as without it, my hair would feel very dry and frizzy. However, with this shampoo bar, I only apply conditioner every two to three wash and it does not get dry nor frizzy, in contrast, it feels soft! I also use this for my body and sometimes my face when I am in a rush. Now that I have successfully switched to shampoo bar, I no longer need to pack different bottles when I travel....Hooray! Plus, it smells wonderful too!
Hi, I've tried this and finding my self loving the minty sensation on my scalp! But yeah after 2 weeks using bar soap as shampoo my hair will start getting stiff which is actually a usual process for me, and applying conditioner will quicky fix it. Just wondering though, is this safe for kids 2-4 years old?
Hi Dee, we're so glad that you're enjoying the experience of using the Mane Event with your hair so far! And yes, you can certainly use this for kids aged 2-4. :)
